It’s hard to explain with my poor english,

one of my friends understanding Japanese tells me that,

the title of this piece is from the first sentence of a very old song いろは (about A.D.1079),

this song also tries to tell a concept of Buddism - life is unpredictable and full of uncertainty , nothing is permanent ,

so my friend translates privately the title into “The glories(the prosperous) die away”.
